What Small Business Would You Open in Town?
With Small Business Saturday approaching, we want to know what small business you would open in Wilmington if given the opportunity.
In advance of Small Business Saturday on November 24, we asked you to play developer last week, and you had plenty of great ideas.
"If you could open any small business in town, what would it be and why?" was the question we asked on the Wilmington Patch Facebook page.
We received a total of 25 comments, so we want to keep the conversation going.
"I would love an indoor sports center for soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, etc. or an outdoor/indoor track with go karts," said Maggie Fusco, who was among our readers to answer the question via social media. "Fun stuff for family and kids to do."
Several of the commenters were thinking along the same lines. Multiple suggestions came in for a bakery, and several said they would like something for teens to be able to do in town.
There were also suggestions for a yarn shop, a bridal salon, and more. Derek Feeney, on the other hand, had an idea worth toasting.
"That's easy," he posted. "A bar!"
So what would you open in Wilmington? Keep the conversation going in the comments section below with some fresh ideas.
