The final curtain has not yet fallen on "Still Falls The Rain" and the Wilmington High Lamplighters Drama Guild.
Wilmington's young thespians put on another brilliant performance Saturday at the Semifinals of the Mass. Educational Theater Guild One-Act Festival in Norwood. The judges liked the production so much that Wilmington was selected to move into the State Finals, March 21-23 in Boston.
WHS is one of just 14 finalists from among 114 schools that started the competition.
As they did in the preliminary round, the Wilmington Lamplighters received several awards in the semifinals, including acting awards for Mike Semonelli and Jimmy Lawrenson, awards for makeup and costume and an ensemble award for the "Grey People."
"Still Falls The Rain" is an original one-act play written by WHS student Katie Barry. It also features an original music score compose by fellow Wildcat Connor Burke.
