A long list of young artists had their work on display Friday and Saturday as Wilmington Public Schools teamed with the Wilmington Arts Center for a student art gallery.

Among the pieces on display were paintings, ceramics, mixed media creations and more. The high school strings group was also on hand performing throughout the evening on Friday.

Jess Nardone, a sophomore, was awarded Best in Show for her first place painting, which also was selected a jury favorite and faculty favorite. There were several categories of winners, and a total of 61 students were selected for various awards.

Bravo to the Wilmington Public School's art department. This was their first show and I thought it was amazing. It certainly showcased some outstanding student work. Many thanks to all of the art teachers under the leadership of Jen Fidler for their dedication to our students.
