Report: Wilmington Resident Robbed at Gunpoint

Student at Southern New Hampshire University escaped unharmed, WMUR reports.

According to reports by New Hampshire media outlets, a Wilmington resident was one of two students robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning.

WMUR first reported that Southern New Hampshire University student Kevin Mitchell, 20, of Wilmington and Errol Fuertes, 20, of Litchfield, N.H., were walking at the intersection of River Road and Eastside Drive when the incident occurred.

Police told WMUR that three black men approached Mitchell and Fuertes as they were walking near campus at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

One member of the trio, a man described as in his early 20s, reportedly pulled out a gun and demanded money. The pair obliged and gave the men an undisclosed amount of money before the suspects fled the scene, police said.

A state police K-9 officer was unable to track any of the robbers, according to the WMUR report.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Hooksett Police Department at 624-1560.
