I think an oil clean up business and a professional new high school cost estimating company would be a hit. An E.P.A. office would probably be a nice fit also.

Trader Joe's. I know it's similar to Whole Foods, but I prefer TJ's nuts, snacks, cookie products, etc.

I contacted Monster Golf and told them about the old Dinette World, if you want Trader Joe's I'd say contact the corporate office they'd love to know about some of these locations.

Thanks for the news flash Marion. I woke up this morning with a giant gray beard and found that I was asleep for thirty years. I swung by Birch to pick up my prescription but I found that closed too. Then I went to Stelio's for a rot-gut breakfast but found a 99's in its place. Then I stopped at Farmer and the Del for a sandwich to find that it was also closed. What a frieghtening day.

Every now and again my old man would drop off the car at Wilmington Ford for repairs. Then he'd walk to Huntley's and browse around for a while before getting a haircut at the Clipper Ship. Then after he picked up the car he'd stop into Mancini's for some fried chicken & Jo-Jo potatoes.

I like the idea of someplace to do Family activities,, doesn't particularlly have to be a "Teen Hangout", Maybe Billiards, Arcade, Darts.. things like that. If not that then some type of all-around store,,,Don't like to have to run to N.Reading, Tewksbury or Woburn when I need something from Walmart or Target.

I hope along with Target comes the "Target Recreational Fields"
If Target builds over off Ballardvalle St then maybe they could sponsor a field of dreams per-say!

Maybe if a new store opens up Kevin can get a job. I bet the town manager, selectman, and school committee hopes he will work 2nd shift.

This is a great thread. Lots of positive images of the past, and hopefully the future. Of course, we can fantasize all we like, it will have no impact on if these things come to pass or not, but is it still fun.

I ate for the first time today at Chick Fil A. I am not a huge fast food fan, but the chicken sandwiches were pretty good. If we must fast food, I would say that would be okay.

Earlier, someone mentioned Big Joe's. He is still there, and still open, and still makes great sandwiches, meat pies and more. And of course, the floor show is the best in town.

I cut thru Reading to get to Home Depot too, and it is not too far, but closer would be better.

I think someplace wholesome and fun where kids and teens can hang out with or for families to hang out would be great. A sports center with batting cages or maybe a go cart race track, maybe a multi discipline place with billiards, arcades and other simple games.

Mexican food is a good thought.

My family has some gluten sensitivities, and this past weekend we went to Woodman's in Essex for the first time. It is similar to a Kelly's kind of place (in Revere, on the beach) and they are almost all Gluten free. Something like that would be great.
