Police Log: Reportedly Stolen U-Haul Truck Dropped Off in Wilmington

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Wednesday, December 19.
Wednesday, December 19
7:00 a.m.: Officers participated in community patrolling at North Intermediate School, Woburn Street School, Wilmington High School and Shawsheen Elementary.
7:39 a.m.: Suspicious activity outside the high school. The principal and vice principal were notified and responded. The males were returned inside the school, which handled the situation.
8:36 a.m.: Community policing took place at Shawsheen Elementary and Wildwood Street School.
9:18 a.m.: Checking on chickens that were supposed to be removed from Muse Ave. home. The birds were still on the property and the Board of Health will be notified.
11:32 a.m.: A caller reported that a male party appeals to be asleep behind the wheel inside is vehicle at the intersection at Church Street. The vehicle was gone on police arrival.
2:05 p.m.: The manager at U-Haul told police that a truck that was reported stolen from Nashua was returned to the Wilmington location. There was no damage reported done to the vehicle.
2:23 p.m.: A party admitted to a crime referenced in a previous call. Restitution of $300 cash was given to detectives which will be turned over to the original reporting party.
In addition, according to the Tewksbury police log, James P. Collins, 55, 8 Apache Way, Wilmington, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
