Police Log: OUI Charges and a Dog Attack

The following information was supplied by the Wilmington Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Wednesday, Thursday 22 to Sunday, November 25.

Thursday, November 22

11:41 a.m.: Saw a party putting sticks on the hood of a vehicle at St. Thomas of Villanova. Officer spoke with the party and advised him to remove the sticks. The party stated it was a friend’s car and they were putting the debris there as a joke.

3:13 p.m.: Police stopped a driver on Lowell Street after spotting an open container in the car. Bernard Paul Edusei, 46, of 25 Clinton St. Apt 1, Lynn, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, license not in possession and speeding.

Friday, November 23

11:30 a.m.: On Hathaway Road, a caller previously involved in a harassment case allegedly drove by a home in his white Toyota Camry and made several threatening remarks. A Gunderson Road man was summonsed for threatening to commit a crime.

12:29 p.m.: A Parker Street caller reported that at about 11:30 a.m. this morning while walking her dog, a neighbor’s dog got loose from its yard and attacked her dog. The caller’s dog sustained injury and was brought to the vet. The attacking dog was quarantined for 10 days.

Saturday, November 24

12:38 p.m.: Calling from Hathaway Road, a resident reported that a male party drove by her at this location and gave her the middle finger. She wanted the incident logged.

12:59 p.m.: A caller reported that around 3 p.m. yesterday while walking home in the area, a gray Nissan Ultima approached her seven-year-old song and waved at him and when she was closer the vehicle sped away.

Sunday, November 25

4:00 a.m.: On High Street, police arrested Jason A. Ingersoll, 29, of 1008 South Street, Tewksbury, of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. A Derry, N.H., resident was taken into protective custody.

9:27 a.m.: A caller on Lowell Street stated that he was punched in the face as a result of a road rage incident. A 50-year-old Wilmington resident was summonsed for assault and battery.
