Police Log: Missing Juvenile, Stolen Flag and OUIs

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, July 27 to Monday, July 30.

Friday, July 27

12:50 p.m.: Two people were stuck in an elevator on Middlesex Ave. The Fire Department handled the situation.

3:44 p.m.: An anonymous caller reported that a group of youths in a Main Street parking lot may have been taking narcotics. Police checked the area but were unable to locate.

11:04 p.m.: A caller reported a black Jeep swerving all over the road and traveling down the center of both lanes on Main Street. Christina M. Oliva, 32, of 415 Ames Hill Drive in Tewksbury was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violation.

Saturday, July 28

12:50 a.m.: Repossession company attempted to repossess a motor vehicle on Middlesex Ave., but requested an officer due to the vehicle owner causing a disturbance.

3:42 p.m.: Callers at Market Basket reported two youths on bicycles in the parking lot begging for money and harassing customers. The parties were advised and sent on their way.

10:15 p.m.: A walk-in party reported that a metal firepit belonging to her landlord was stolen some time in the last week.

5:29 p.m.: Officers responded to Cottage Street with the Tewksbury Police Department attempting to find a missing juvenile. Police checked in a variety of locations but were unable to locate the juvenile. Police said they would continue to search the area throughout the evening.

8:18 p.m.: At Avalon Oaks, a caller reported a few kids hopped the fence and jumped in the swimming pool. There were three juveniles involved, one of which lives in the apartment complex.

9:09 p.m.: Following a medical aid call on Grove Ave., a Lowell woman was summonsed for possession of Class C drugs and possession of Class E drugs. A prescription bottle filled with a mix of prescriptions was confiscated for inventory.

9:11 p.m.: A West Street residentc ame to the station to report that sometime the previous evening a hole was drilled in the gas tank of her vehicle.

11:10 p.m.: On Marcia Road, a caller reported three males staggering in the roadway. Timothy J. Stott, 32, of 65 High Street, Apt. 1, in E. Woburn, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Two other men were taken into protective custody. When approaching the three males on Carolyn Road, one of them threw a United States flag onto the front lawn of a nearby home. Officers identified where the men stole the flag from and returned it.

Monday, July 30

12:59 a.m.: After a traffic stop at the intersection of Main and Lowell Street, Jason W. Doucette, 28, of 979 Main Street in Woburn, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and failing to stop or yield.
