Police Log: Man Allegedly Cuts Power to Neighbor's Home

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Thursday, December 27, to Sunday, December 30.
Thursday, December 27
6:43 p.m.: On Pearl Court, a resident stated that she believes her residence was broken into sometime in the last 24 hours. The homeowner said she noticed the basement window was ajar and the screen was taken off. An officer confirmed the attempted breaking and entering.
Friday, December 28
1:01 p.m.: A caller on Avalon Drive reported that his parked vehicle was struck sometime overnight.
3:20 p.m.: Calling from Main Street, a resident reported checks were cashed from their account that were not written by them.
8:09 p.m.: In the parking lot of Elia's, a caller reported a past hit and run. The driver requested the business check their security tapes for evidence of the incident.
9:31 p.m.: The "Entering Wilmington" sign is missing on Aldrich Road when entering town. A report was faxed to the DPW.
10:07 p.m.: A homeowner on Washington Ave. reported that someone was throwing something at the side of his home. The caller saw a person run through the backyard in a hooded sweatshirt after hearing the noises.
Saturday, December 29
12:29 a.m.: Calling from Washington Ave., a resident reported that his neighbor cut the power to his house. Police found that the power was cut to the side of the house. The resident in question did not answer the door. Police forced entry to make sure he did not need medical attention after cutting the electrical service. Michael J. Slattery, 49, of 12 Washington Ave., Wilmington, was arrested and charged with wanton destruction of property greater than $250, criminal harassment and arson of a dwelling house.
1:50 a.m.: James A. Parks, 62, of 171 Blue Hills Parkway, Milton, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, third offense, marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
2:11 p.m.: The man involved in the previous Washington Ave. incident was summonsed for vandalizing property after a caller reported damage to a tree, electrical box and air conditioning unit.
