King Triton Continues Veterans Day Tradition

The Wilmington business will offer free car washes for veterans on Sunday.

Wilmington's King Triton Car Care Center is continuing its annual tradition on Sunday.

In honor of Veterans Day, the Main Street business will offer free car washes for veterans on Sunday for a ninth consecutive year.

“I don’t know of many other places that give something away for absolutely free on any day,” said general manager Anthony Freniere leading up to last year's event. “We live in a different world now and we feel like members of the military don’t get a fair share of the thanks that they used to.”

Veterans can come to the car wash on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to receive their free service.

Wilmington's annual Veterans Day ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday on Town Common.

Check back with Wilmington Patch for coverage of the ceremony, and veterans can also find other Veterans Day deals on Patch Sunday morning.
