Joe Maiella has only been the Wilmington boys basketball head coach for four years. But he's been a Wildcat for much longer.

Maeilla, whose team suffered through a difficult campaign this year after recent success, played at Wilmington High School and was an assistant coach for 19 years before taking over the job of head coach.

Coach Maiella is a good guy. I have always heard good things about him. He has been a loyal contributor to the basketball program for a lot of years. I hear there is some great young talent coming up. I'd love to see Joe take a team to the state's and win a championship. I wish him all the best.
