Hull to Reveal FY 2014 Budget Proposal at Monday Meeting

Wilmington's Board of Selectmen are scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. inside Town Hall, Room 9.

Similarly to what Superintendent of Schools Joanne did at last week's School Committee meeting, Wilmington Town Manager Jeff Hull will present his proposed Fiscal Year 2014 budget at a Monday night Board of Selectmen session.

Hull is the only appointment on the agenda for Monday night's meeting. Beginning at 7 p.m. inside Town Hall, Room 9, he will walk selectmen through his budget proposal that must be approved by voters at Annual Town Meeting.

Following Hull's presentation, selectmen will hear a variety of communications.

First up is a letter to the legislative delegation from Hull regarding the legislation proposed by Governor Deval Patrick to regionalize Local Housing Authorities.

The next four communications items are on the same topic. One is from Rep. Jim Miceli, one from Rep. Ken Gordon, one from Wilmington Housing Authority Executive Director Maureen Hickey and one is a proposed alternative on the subject from Hickey.

Next on Monday's agenda, selectmen will consider the request of the Wilmington Sons of Italy and Wilmington Band Parents to use the Swain School parking lot on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the purpose of conducting a fundraising yard sale.
