High School Announces Fall Sports Schedule

After a slight delay because of the high school appeals, the Wildcats fall slate is ready to roll.

 

The hallways at Wilmington High School are full of students for the new school year, and soon the athletic fields around town will be as well.

Following a delay due to the high school appeals, the school recently announced its finalized schedule for the fall sports season.

The first varsity action of the year comes on Wednesday, September 5, as the boys golf team travels to face Stoneham at 3:30 p.m., the girls volleyball team hosts Lynnfield at 5:30 p.m. and the girls soccer team welcomes Woburn to town at 6 p.m. The boys soccer also travels to Woburn at 6:15 p.m. that day.

On Thursday, September 6, the field hockey team hosts Woburn at 6 p.m. in its season opener while the golf team plays at home for the first time at 3:30 p.m.

Friday Night Lights starts on September 7 at 7 p.m. as the Wildcat football team kicks off the 2012-13 campaign under the lights of Alumni Stadium against Arlington.

Saturday, September 8, marks the home opening game for the boys soccer team with a tilt against Lexington.

Cross country season begins on Thursday, September 13, with both teams on the road against Woburn at 3:45 p.m. The cross country teams hold their home opener on Tuesday, September 18, at at 3:45 p.m.

Should the high school athletic teams play there home games at Alumni Stadium? What if they slip on the oil and get hurt. Kevin can you chain yourself to the goal post so the students do not get hurt? Plus oil is very difficult to wash out of a uniform.
