Wilmington Memorial Library hosts event on planning how to pay for college.

 

"Five Things you Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

1. Another ideal fall day is in the forecast for Tuesday in Wilmington. According to Weather.com, temperatures will settle in at 73° as the week rolls on. There is a zero percent chance of rain on the day and skies will be mainly sunny.

2. Tuesday's sports schedule is a light one. The boys and girls cross country teams travel to Stoneham for a race at 3:45 p.m. while the volleyball team hits the road to face Lynnfield at 5:30 p.m.

3. College is expensive. On Tuesday night you can find some tips on how to help pay for your children's education. Wilmington Memorial Library hosts College Planning: The Financial Aid Process, beginning at 7 p.m. The workshop will address the financial aid process, necessary paperwork, and strategies for paying for college and features presenter James Femia, a Certified College Planning Specialist with the National Institute of Certified College Planners.
