Creative Ways to Find Deals

This week I am going to give you some ideas on how to score deals everytime you shop.

Each week I write a column that highlights five deals in Wilmington. This week I thought that instead of giving you specific deals I would instead pass on some deal-getting info that a friend shared with me. Use these ideas to get just about anything for less.

1. Sign up for rewards cards at any store you shop in that offers them. CVS, Rite Aid,Walgreens, etc. all have programs and you will save money each time you present your store card.

2. Be sure to look through the flyers in your mailbox. Super Coups and the newly released Coups 'R Us are two free publications that are delivered right to you. Make sure you check them out because there are lots of deals to be had!

3. Create an email address just for deals and sign up for anything that sounds interesting. Sites like Redplum, Groupon and Living Social will send you a daily email offering great discounts on everything from dinner to skydiving.

4. Get the Sunday paper or order coupons online from sites such as Capri Coupons. Spending a few dollars on coupons each week can save you hundreds of dollars in the long run. Keep in mind that manufacturers/stores generally run deals that correspond with the latest flyers so keep your eyes open each Sunday!

5. Let sites such as iheartcvs.com, iheartwags.com and totallytarget.com do your deal searching for you. Make it easier on yourself and take a few moments to check out others' sites to see what deals are happening. Then take your coupons and save money!

Happy Deal Hunting!
