Chamber's Annual Comedy Night Set for Friday

Event has been a popular one in town for the last five years.

The winter of 2012 may not have had record breaking snow falls or bone chilling temperatures but, even so, it started early with an October snowstorm and has been hanging around long enough. What better way to beat the winter blues than to enjoy The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Annual Comedy Night?

A Wilmington favorite for the past five years, the Chamber of Commerce Comedy Night is known for providing a few laughs as well as a great opportunity to get out and socialize.

Hosted by local favorite Steve Bjork and scheduled for Friday, February 17, in the Shriners Auditorium Fez Room, the Chamber Comedy Night is sure to provide a much needed night out for parents as they prepare for school vacation week.

This year’s show will feature headliner Justin McKinney. Well known for multiple Tonight Show Performances, his own half hour and one hour Comedy Central Specials as well as appearances with The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, McKinney is sure to make it an evening to remember.

As Nancy Vallee, Executive Director of The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce mentioned, “Justin McKinney is, frankly, an amazing coup.”

There will also be an assortment of raffles available including a Red Sox jacket, a baseball autographed by Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, gift baskets for all occasions and a variety of gift certificates for various local businesses.  As always, all profits from the event will go to the Chamber of Commerce and, in turn, support our local economy and businesses.

Year after year members of the Chamber look forward to Vallee’s top ten list of reasons to attend and this year is no exception.  If you are looking for a reason to go check out her list yourself:
