Best of Patch: What's the Best 'Staycation?'

Vote in our poll and let us know your favorite day trip in the comments section below.

A week long vacation is fun. But it's also not always an option. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy a trip with the family.

So where is your favorite spot for a staycation? A staycation is a day trip in your hometown or somewhere nearby, and there are plenty of options for those family fun days in the Wilmington area.

Here are your choices:

If we missed your favorite place for a day trip, let us know in the comments section below and we'll add it to the running.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us what your favorite place is to take off for the day and enjoy a staycation! And don't forget to tell us in the comments below why you think it's the best place in town.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. A winner will be determined by Patch editors, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. Voting results posted in real time shall not be deemed official until Patch has reviewed and confirmed all of the votes.
