“We want everything to be done right for both us and our customers, so the little inconveniences that we have faced have been a learning experience,” said Buscone, the business’ co-owner. “We are back on track and looking forward to opening on Friday.”
Fro-Yo to Go has hired 10 students from Wilmington High School and Shawsheen Technical High School to help run the business. In addition, there will be a bulletin board set up at the shop that will feature Wilmington community news.
On Saturday, Wilmington’s newest business will host grand opening festivities that last from open at 12 p.m. until closing time at 11 p.m. There will be samples of yogurt, free raffles, balloons, face painting and other contests.
Buscone said the efforts and excitement from residents across town has been remarkable. From neighboring businesses inside Square One Plaza to town officials and family members, Buscone said it is a long list of people who have helped get Fro-Yo to its grand opening date.
“We have had phone calls and people stopping in to wish us luck, some we knew and others just to wish us the best,” said Buscone. “It is truly a group effort, from family, friends and neighbors.”
